Ben began his career in the railroad industry back in 1976 with the Chicago and NorthWestern Railroad.   In addition to his Class One railroad career, Ben worked for Track Contractors, Consulting Firms, and founded Via Rail Engineering Inc. in 2005, presently 100% employee owned.  His vast experience 

extends beyond engineering, his skill set includes site development, feasibility studies, rail operations, master planning and construction.

Ben has been the principal engineer on hundreds of rail projects, providing design guidance and construction oversight throughout  the  U.S. 

He is recognized in the Railroad Industry as a highly effective liaison, linking private sector projects to key railroad decision makers and representatives.
